All courses will be held at the Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown, 1301 Wyandotte, Kansas City, MO 64105.
A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown for course attendees. The rate is $107 for a standard single/double room plus applicable state and local occupancy taxes. These rooms will be held as a block, unless depleted, until September 17, 2010, at which time they will be released to the public. After September 17, room rate and availability cannot be guaranteed.
To make a reservation call 816-474-6664 or (toll-free Worldwide 800-227-6963). State that you will be attending a University of Kansas aerospace short course and give the group code AER. All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card, guest check or money order.
Participants are responsible for their own parking fees. The Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown will offer a discounted rate of $6.50 a day for overnight self parking and day guests.
The Kansas City International Airport (KCI) is 19 miles (30.6 km) from the Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown hotel. SuperShuttle provides transportation for $17.00 each way to/from the hotel. (Fees are subject to change.) Arrangements can be made online at www.supershuttle.com or by calling 817- 329-2000 or (toll-free in the United States) 800-258-3826. Be sure to use the group code UPBP7.
(Please note that Kansas City has an entertainment district called "The Plaza" and an entertainment district called "Crown Center". The hotel Crowne Plaza is located downtown and conveniently near the new, exciting "Power and Light District.")
