Provides a hands-on learning experience in the basic operation and utilization of MATLAB and Simulink. MATLAB is an interactive system whose basic data element is an array that does not require dimensioning. This allows you to solve many technical computing problems, especially those with matrix and vector formulations, in a fraction of the time it would take to write a program in scalar noninteractive language such as C or FORTRAN. The course consists of a series of 13 sections, each followed immediately by examples and exercises to be completed by the participants, in a computer classroom learning environment.
Designed for those who want to use MATLAB or Simulink for mathematical computation, analysis, simulation, and 2-D/3-D data visualization. It is directed to those who want to get a broad overview of the capabilities of these packages, and to learn how to use them and how to search for further information about the programs.
Class time: 35 hours
"This is the first time that I have actually attended a MATLAB class. In school, they tell you to do a project using MATLAB, and you stay in front of the computer trying to guess. This course is definitely recommended for all engineers." — Paul Okokhere, The Boeing Company
This course is available for on-site presentation.
