Provides an overview of aircraft structural external loads analysis, including: criteria, design, analysis, fatigue, certification, validation and testing. It covers FAR 23 and FAR 25 Airplane Loads Requirements. However, the concepts may be applicable for military structural requirements.
Loads calculations examples using BASICLOADS software will be demonstrated throughout the course week. A copy of BASICLOADS software will be provided to attendees.
Designed for practicing engineers and engineering managers whose responsibilities include aircraft structures.
Includes instruction, a course notebook, Structural Loads Analysis Theory and Practice for Commercial Aircraft, by Ted L. Lomax, a copy of BASICLOADS software, refreshments and five lunches. The course notes are for participants only and are not for sale.
Fees: See fee information for individual classes in the registration column on the right side of this page.
Class time: 31.5 hours • 3.15 CEUs
"Excellent course; it gives a broad overview of how the external loads are derived, applied and certified. I strongly recommend it for stress, design and structural engineers whose job is related to aerospace structures." — Hernan Ramirez, attendee
