
This is a classroom presentation covering the anatomy and construction of today’s vehicles. Topics covered include: vehicle design, construction materials, vehicle electrical systems, supplemental restraint systems, fuel systems including hybrid vehicles and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles and an introduction to scene safety and safe tool handling.
The class is supported by a PowerPoint presentation containing the latest photos and graphics as well as numerous handouts for students to continue the learning process.

Dan Crowbridge has been with Holmatro Rescue Equipment since 2001 as a regional manager. With over 20 years of fire service experience, Dan has held positions as assistant director and adjunct faculty at the Utah Fire & Rescue Academy of the Utah Valley State College in Provo, Utah and captain and training coordinator at Lyndon Fire & Rescue in Louisville, Kentucky. Dan is certified by IFSAC and Pro-Board as a Fire Service Instructor 2. Dan has made presentations at all levels within the fire service, from the local firehouse to regional and state fire schools, to national conferences. Dan has been designing and teaching vehicle extrication courses for over 16 years and has attended courses lead by the nation’s leading experts in vehicle extrication. Dan is also certified as an instructor in accident rescue by the International Center for Emergency Techniques, ICET, based in Raamsdonksveer, The Netherlands.
