Typical topics which may be covered are number theory, geometries, introductory calculus, introductory probability and statistics. Second, to provide the student with some skill in handling abstract mathematical concepts. The material will develop dually the intuitive and axiomatic approach. A high degree of manipulative skill is not required for this course. Prerequisite: MATH 101 or MATH 104, or two years of high school algebra and a score of 26 or higher on ACT mathematics, or a qualifying score on the mathematics placement test.
