On behalf of the Association of Gastrointestinal Motility Disorders, Inc. (AGMD) and the University of Kansas Medical Center Continuing Education, we would like to extend an invitation for you to attend our July 24–26, 2009 AGMD Digestive Motility Symposium taking place at the Doubletree Bedford Glen Hotel in Bedford, Mass.
The July 2009 AGMD Digestive Motility Symposium has been developed in order to improve clinical care and patient outcome as it relates to the diagnosis and treatment modalities in patients with digestive motility diseases and disorders , including the benefits of assessing and implementing a nutritional program towards the needs of these patients, and in addition, to understand the many challenges of these patients and their family members in order to better address their needs, communicate accurate information, and achieve proper diagnoses and more effective treatments.
This symposium will provide an overview into digestive motility diseases and disorders affecting pediatric and adult patients. It will focus on clinical features, symptoms, possible causes, diagnosis, various treatments, nutritional aspects and options available as well as research that is presently being conducted in order to improve knowledge and competency in this specialized field of gastroenterology. In addition, the symposium will provide awareness of the impact of digestive motility disease on family members and offer insight from the patient’s perspective on living with digestive motility diseases and disorders.
