
Early intervention, innovative research and evidence-based treatment applications have expanded our understanding and redefined the concept of stroke rehabilitation. This course will focus on the latest research in neuroplasticity, as well as clinical interventions that exploit this research in order to promote functional recovery. Lectures and breakout sessions will address: acute stroke management, neural imaging, novel research advances and methods to incorporate current evidence into practice, task-specific and locomotor training, right hemisphere dysfunction and stroke complications.
