Overview

Symposium features the latest developments in capsule endoscopy, endoscopic management of esophageal malignancies, eosinophilic esophagitis, liver transplantation, endoscopic ultrasound, and GI motility and functional bowel disorders.

Target Audience

This symposium is designed for practicing physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in gastroenterology, internal medicine, family practice and gastrointestinal surgery.

Objectives

At the completion of this symposium, participants should be able to:

Discuss current treatment options for various motility diseases and functional bowel disorders.
Describe proper indications for capsule endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound.
Discuss current treatments of chronic liver disease and advanced outcomes for liver transplantation.
Examine the rationale for endoscopic management of esophageal malignancies.
Develop comprehensive strategies for a variety of GI issues using case studies discussions.
Review diagnosis and management of eosinophilic esophagitis.
