Transforming Differences: The Cultural Detective Model
In this interactive session, we will use the Cultural Detective Model, focusing on working relationships with international nurses, Philippino nurses, in particular. Participants will "play detectives" to discover and uncover cultural values that underlie behavior and motivations, without resorting to generalizations and stereotypes. Instead of using a list of "do’s and don'ts" when dealing with other cultures, we will use critical thinking and problem-solving skills in transforming cross-cultural misunderstandings into cultural synergy. | |||
