Terence Hall

Terence Hall is the Assistant Chief of Police in Kansas City, Kansas, where he has worked in Law Enforcement for thirty years. He is also the Director of Criminal Investigations Bureau where he leads the Homicide and Felony Investigations, Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), Logistics and Victims Services. He has received many awards including the KCKPD Meritorious Service Award in 1996 and 1997, the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police Gold Award in 2001 and the Optimist International Law Enforcement Award in 2006.

Mr. Hall was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, and attended historically black schools until he went to the University of Kansas and earned a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism and master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kansas. He is also a member of Phi Alpha Alpha and Sigma Alpha Lambda.

He has been an active leader among his peers and many times has faced and overcome life-threatening situations. As a result Mr. Hall has been recognized for Meritorious, Valor and Distinguished Service.
