Single-Day Registrations for Wednesday, April 11

The symposium will be held in the Kansas Union on the KU campus. Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m. in the Big 12 Room, Level 5. Lunch is included in the registration fee.

Two-Day Registrations for Tuesday, April 10, and Wednesday, April 11

The conference will be held on the KU campus, and the opening event—a pizza reception and bowling party—will be Tuesday, April 10, at 6:00 p.m. The location for the reception will be sent to registrants before the symposium.

The Wednesday symposium will be held on the fifth floor of the Kansas Union. Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m. in the Big 12 Room, Level 5. The Tuesday pizza reception and bowling party and lunch on Wednesday are included in the $20 full registration fee.

Hotel Information

Participants or their community college will be responsible for making your hotel and roommate reservations. A block of rooms at a special KU rate has been reserved at the Lawrence Holidome at $75 + tax per double occupancy until March 23, 2012. Rates cannot be guaranteed after that date. The room includes breakfast, which is a buffet served in the dining room.

Directions, Parking and Other Information

For those who are driving, the parking garage is located to the north of the Kansas Union on 13th and Mississippi St. From I-70: Take Exit 202 and continue south for about one mile, go under the underpass, and merge onto Iowa St. to traffic lights at 9th Street. Turn east (left lane) on 9th Street. Turn south (right) on Mississippi Street. The parking garage will be on the left-hand side of Mississippi opposite the football stadium parking lot. NOTE: Parking garage level 4 has a covered passageway to the Kansas Union.

Important Information about KU Parking Garage

The University of Kansas Parking & Transit Office has implemented a new gated parking system at the Mississippi Street Parking Garage.  At the gate, visitors will be issued a parking permit which will allow you to enter the garage. There is no pre-pay option. You must present that permit when you exit and pay the parking fee. Payment can be made with a debit or credit card, or by depositing coins at the pay station for your numbered slot to receive an exit permit.
