Latino Leadership Symposium

The Latino Leadership Symposium at the University of Kansas provides information on college preparation and leadership development to the Latino high school population in Kansas. The program will be formatted to address issues of breaking stereotypes, empowerment, higher education preparation, and leadership development as students explore their college options.

Goal of the Latino Leadership Symposium
The Latino Leadership Symposium is designed to recognize high academic-achieving Latino students and provide tools for leadership and college preparation. This program is not a substitute for a regular campus visit to KU. If you and your students are interested in visiting KU, please contact the Office of Admissions to set up a time to visit. To participate, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in grades 9–12
- Have a 2.75 cumulative GPA
- Exhibit leadership potential
