Project Management Courses
Modeling Skills for Project Managers
Project planning and analysis can be significantly improved by using project models that increase reliability of timelines and estimated completion dates, meet known resource constraints and mitigate risks. In this one-day course, participants will use interactive learning exercises and demonstrations to:
- Learn basic deterministic (e.g., Critical Path Method—CPM) and probabilistic (e.g., Program Evaluation and Review Technique—PERT) modeling.
- Examine and better understand characteristics and potential benefits of simulation modeling—such as seeking more realistic completion time estimates than are available through either CPM or PERT, and determining required action to complete projects earlier.
- Become more familiar with built-in and add-on modeling capabilities in representative project management software packages.
