From water floods to nanotechnology, TORP leads the charge in development of technologies, education, and training for the oil and gas industry. Please plan on joining us as we host our 20th Biennial Improved Oil Recovery Conference as we provide multiple talks, exhibits, and discussions about the latest in improved oil recovery methods as well as highlight some of our historical technology that is still being used to this day. Conference Hours

You may check in and pick up conference materials at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013. The Exhibit floor opens at noon followed by our Keynote speaker at 6 p.m. and a Social from 7–10 p.m. On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, check-in will begin at 8 a.m. If you will be attending the conference via Adobe Connect Live Webinar, you will receive your login information a week before the conference.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We encourage you to send a substitute if you cannot attend. A full refund of registration fees, less a $15 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by March 18, 2013. After March 18, 2013, a $50 administrative fee will be assessed on all refunds until March 25, 2013. After that date, no refunds will be made. A $30 fee will also be charged for returned checks. (Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.) KU TORP reserves the right to cancel the conference and return all the fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.

Location and Parking

The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency, 400 West Waterman Street, Wichita, Kansas, in the Grand Eagle Ballroom on the first floor. Parking in the Hyatt garage is included with your registration. When you arrive at the hotel, take a ticket when you park in the garage. Once you have parked, you may discard this ticket. You can pick up your new ticket at the registration table when you arrive. A new ticket is available for each day.


The social on Monday evening and lunch on Tuesday is included in the registration fee. In addition, a continental breakfast and afternoon beverages and snacks will be provided. Coffee will be available all day.

Conference Lodging

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency, 400 West Waterman Street, Wichita, Kansas. Registrants are asked to make their own reservations by visiting the hotel’s reservation webpage or calling 316-293-1234. Refer to the KU TORP Workshop to receive the special conference rate of $99, single or double. To ensure room availability and rate, make your reservation by March 18, 2013. All reservations must be secured with a credit card or deposit.
