Mark Your Calendars: 2014 Conference
The Society of Pediatric Psychology National Conference in Pediatric Psychology will be held on April 11–13, 2013, at the Astor-Crowne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans, LA. Plenary overview speakers and invited symposia will cover the topics of sleep issues in pediatric psychology, federal health care reform, quality improvement, diversity issues, and clinically-informed and clinically-relevant research methodologies.
Invited presenters include Drs. Jennifer Schurman, Lindsey Cohen, David Janicke, Jennifer Shroff-Pendley, Kristin Riekert, Lisa J. Meltzer, and Celia Lescano. In addition, three symposia covering issues of broad interest will be selected from submitted abstracts. A total of 13 hours of continuing education credit for psychologists (Intermediate Level) will be offered during conference programming.*
In addition to the conference programming, there will be Special Interest Group meetings on topics relevant to clinical practice on Thursday before the conference, some of which will offer up to 2 hours of Continuing Education for psychologists (Intermediate Level). Additional opportunities for continuing education for psychologists will be available during two concurrent 3-hour preconference skills-building workshops on Thursday morning; one on translational research methodologies and one on ACT for Pediatric Pain.

Posters
Poster abstracts on any topic relevant to pediatric psychology are appropriate for submission, and will be evaluated by the Scientific Review Committee for the 2013 National Conference for inclusion in one of 4 poster sessions.
Open Call for Symposia
Submissions for 2-hour symposium presentations in any area of pediatric psychology are being solicited. Symposium abstracts must include an overall abstract that details the goals of the session and explains the relevance and value of the symposium to a broad pediatric psychology audience. The submission should include individual abstracts for each paper in the symposium, as well as an overall abstract for the session. Symposia will be chosen from the submitted abstracts for three concurrent 2-hour breakout sessions.
Abstracts on QI Research in Pediatric Psychology
Abstracts for research on Quality Improvement (QI) in Pediatric Psychology are particularly encouraged.
Deadline for submission 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012.
