Dr. Daniel DeavoursDr. Daniel Deavours is a research professor at the University of Kansas Information and Telecommunication Technology Center (ITTC). He is the director of research of the RFID Alliance Lab, a not-for-profit testing facility that provides objective benchmarking reports on RFID equipment. He regularly reports the Lab’s findings at national and regional conferences and is a regular contributor toThe RFID Journal. Dr. Deavours holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in electrical engineering, as well as a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. Toby RushToby Rush is president of Rush Tracking Systems, a Kansas City-based RFID solutions provider. His company provides consulting and systems integration services for applications that utilize RFID in the supply chain, asset tracking and inventory management. Prior to working for Rush Tracking Systems, he served as vice president of product development for a software company whose work force automation solution utilized RFID. While at BSI Consulting, he spearheaded the effort to create a new practice group around mobile and wireless technologies. He began his career working at Accenture. Mr. Rush has a degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University. |
