Dr. Daniel DeavoursDaniel Deavours is a research professor at the University of Kansas Information and Telecommunication Technology Center (ITTC). He is the director of research of the RFID Alliance Lab, a not-for-profit testing facility that provides objective benchmarking reports on RFID equipment. He regularly reports the Lab’s findings at national and regional conferences and is a regular contributor toThe RFID Journal. Dr. Deavours holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in electrical engineering, as well as a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Allen BennettAllen Bennett founded System Concepts (SCI) in 1984 and has served as its President / CEO from its inception. The company provides RFID Software Solutions through its own marketing channels and directly to industries and government agencies, large and small, across the United States. Mr. Bennett led the company profitably through an inflection in Automated Data Collection (ADC, especially bar coding), and recognized the similarity in the RFID adoption curve. With his many years of data collection experience, computer science background (graduate of NC State), and time spent as a business owner, Mr. Bennett possesses the technical and business expertise to understand and apply RFID to variety of industries. Major companies such as IBM, Chrysler, Springs Industries, Merck, Universities, and many US government agencies including Social Security Administration, Bureau of Federal Prisons, FEMA, U.S. Customs, and Department of Energy have utilized Mr. Bennett’s knowledge and talents to assist them in education, consultation, direction, and development of strategies utilizing and implementing the technology. |
