The 2013 TerQua Meeting is dedicated to Larry Martin

Overview

The Kansas Geological Survey and University of Kansas is hosting the 2013 annual meeting of the Society for Cenozoic Research (TerQua) in Lawrence, Kansas on May 25–26, 2013. The technical and poster sessions will be held at Nichols Hall on West Campus of the University of Kansas. The scientific program will focus on a variety of research topics related the Cenozoic. One of the specific topics that will be addressed is the Neogene stratigraphic and paleontological record of the High Plains of North America. Also, a special session will be dedicated to Larry Martin and will involve his former and current students.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We encourage you to send a substitute if you cannot attend. A full refund of registration fees, less a $15 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing and received by May 13, 2013 (two weeks before event date). After that date, a $50 administrative fee will be assessed on all refunds until May 20, 2013 (one week before event date). After that date, no refunds will be made. A $30 fee will also be charged for returned checks. Please note that if you fail to cancel by the deadline and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment. The Kansas Geological Survey reserves the right to cancel the conference and return all the fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.

Lawrence has many different options available for lodging during your stay.

Location and Parking

Nichols Hall, West Campus, 2335 Irving Hill Road, University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS 66045.
Free parking is available on the east side of Nichols Hall.

Meals

The registration fee covers three meals: box lunches on Saturday and Sunday and the banquet dinner on Saturday.
