Exhibitor or sponsor opportunities are still available for the 53rd Annual Kansas Asphalt Paving Conference, which will be held Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Kansas Memorial Union on the campus of the University of Kansas, Lawrence.
The conference is co-sponsored by the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering and KU Continuing Education. The past few years, exhibits have been viewed by more than 375 attendees representing state and local government, consulting firms, utility companies and manufacturing facilities.
"We have an excellent program of current hot topics planned again this year, and we anticipate a similar, if not slightly larger, crowd," said Barbrara Solberg, program manager.
The exhibit space has enough room for 20 booths, 8' deep by 10' wide with room for table tops and self-standing displays (sorry, no big-road equipment!). Cost to exhibit is only $500, which includes registration for two people who work the booth and attend the conference.
A pre-conference continental breakfast and all refreshment breaks will be in the exhibit hall. Lunch will be in the adjoining room, and the main meeting room is just across the hall! There will be ample opportunities for participant/exhibitor interaction.
Sponsor opportunities are also available. You may also support this conference by sponsoring the lunch, an entire refreshment break, or a partial refreshment break. Special recognition will be given in the form of signage on display at the conference.
Start the year in a day of reflection and dialogue with an internationally
renowned speaker at the "Lessons from Legends: Power, Policy and Practice" conference, which will be held February 12, 2010, at the KU Medical Center School of Nursing Auditorium, Kansas City, Kan. Dr. Beverly L. Malone, one of healthcare's preeminent leaders, will speak about issues of diversity that affect leadership, including cultural
humility. She will also discuss the skills needed and steps necessary for a successful leadership journey in nursing.
